Service Description

CST is a light touch manual therapy that seeks to locate and remove restrictions throughout the body. The brain and spinal cord are surrounded by cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). CSF fluid is a liquid that protects, nourishes, and cleanses the brain and spinal cord. The cranial bones and sacrum work together to “pump” cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) through slight movements of both features. It’s important for cerebrospinal fluid to flow without restriction. If an area of brain tissue is even partially deprived of optimal CSF motion, this could be a problem. Craniosacral therapists use gentle techniques to help relieve these restrictions in the connective tissue to increase the balanced motion and slight “pumping” motion in these two areas that efficiently assist in the flow of Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF).
